'Bouncers'...
Our last production of 'Bouncers' by John Godber was performed
at the Market Harborough Theatre from 27th - 30th June 2007.

Meet The Cast

Our cast was...

Roy Taylor - Eric

Roy was born in Bedford and started performing 14 years ago, when a friend 'dragged' him along to a Fiddler On The Roof audition.

Since then, Roy has appeared around the region in a variety of roles; from Nathan Detriot in Guys & Dolls to Dan Medozza in Jack The Ripper.

Roy also made his directing debut with the musical Sweet Charity, which was peformed at The Place in Bedford from 6th - 9th June 2007.  (Click here for more details.)

Matthew Ramsbottom - Judd

Matt was born in Kent but has lived in Northamptonshire since the age of 2.

His first appearance on stage was when he was 3 years old and was alongside John Inman at the Apollo Theatre in Oxford. Since then he has enjoyed numerous appearances in a variety of different roles, from Cowardly Lion in The Wizard Of Oz to Harry The Horse in Guys & Dolls. Matt is also an established Stage and Company Manager, working with touring companies and professional pantomimes.

Matt reprised his performance of Judd for us in our new production of 'Bouncers', a part he first performed for us as part of our original cast back in 2004.

Paul Akehurst - Ralph

Paul was born in Northampton and began 'treading the boards' back in 1993, when he appeared as the Genie in Aladdin.

Better known to his close friends as 'Doc', he is an accomplished Stage Manager and likes to write murder mystries in his spare time. This time, as well as reprising the role of Ralph for us (Paul was also a member of our original cast back in 2004) he was also our Producer.

Paul also appeared in an episode of the first series of the Doctor Who spin-off TV show Torchwood.

Mark Edwards - Les

Mark was born in Northampton and didn’t start performing publically until he was 14.

He holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre. At the age of 18 he was accepted into Arts Ed in London, currently the number one musical theatre school in Europe, to train in Musical Theatre.

He enjoys performing and can currently be seen in different venues every week, performing as a male vocalist or presenting his own quiz nights. You can also join in with the karaoke-night fun he provides around the region as one half of “J.J. & M.E.”.
